چکیده

This paper is about modelling dynamic dependencies of components as required in dynamic environments. We sketch a formal model for describing the dependencies of software components on hardware and other software components. In a unified way, we represent software components and hardware components with their properties. The properties can be changed during runtime. Expressions over properties define component dependencies, which are steadily resolved to deal with dynamics.

Modelling dynamic dependencies by functional database model

The database model CDM intended for modelling design objects is presented. All properties of design objects are modelled by functions. For modelling dynamic dependencies among objects we introduce the notion of dynamic function. The dynamic function comprises capabilities for the description of the object static structure and algorithmic dependencies among objects. Some constraints and practica...

Discrete-time and Continuous-time Approaches to Dynamic Microsimulation Reconsidered

In this paper the continuous-time competing-risk approach to dynamic microsimulation modelling and approaches based on a discrete-time framework are compared in a systematic way. Besides the basic modelling approaches the possibilities to extend the models to include quantitative and qualitative dependent variables, to use macroeconomic explanatory variables, and to account for dependencies bet...

N-gram Based Modelling of Time and Feature Dependencies in HMM

Developing new acoustical models that overcome HMM based modelling restrictions is an active field of research in automatic speech recognition. In this paper two approaches are presented. The first one consists on exhaustively modelling the dependencies between the acoustic features used to parametrize the speech signal, improving the traditional use of dynamic features. N-gram based modelling ...

Dependencies Management in Dynamically Updateable Component-Based Systems

This paper discusses dependencies analysis significance when updating component-based system dynamically. It presents a service-based matrix model and nested graph as approaches to capture components' dependencies; it discusses using dependencies analysis for safe dynamic updating in component-based software systems; we advocate using service-based dependencies rather than component-based which...

Options for Modelling Temporal Statistical Dependencies in an Acoustic Model for ASR

In this paper we consider the combination of hidden Markov models based on Gaussian mixture densities (GMM-HMM) and linear dynamic models (LDM) as the acoustic model for automatic speech recognition systems. In doing so, the individual strengths of both models, i.e. the modelling of long-term temporal dependencies by the GMM-HMM and the direct modelling of statistical dependencies between conse...
